Mission Bridge Partners is partnering with a rapidly growing federal services company seeking an accomplished Vice President of Capture to help lead its next phase of strategic growth.

This role follows a hybrid work schedule, with the work location based in Leesburg, VA.

Position Overview

The Vice President of Capture will lead strategic capture efforts across a diverse federal portfolio, partnering closely with executive leadership, business development, operations, finance, pricing, technical teams, and proposal leadership to position the company for
sustained growth.

This individual will own opportunities from early market identification through proposal submission, driving customer engagement, competitive positioning, teaming strategy, solution development, pricing collaboration, and overall pursuit execution.

Success in this role requires someone who is equally comfortable engaging senior federal customers and executive leadership as they are rolling up their sleeves to strengthen pipeline discipline, refine win strategies, challenge assumptions, and improve overall capture performance.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Leading capture efforts for strategic federal opportunities supporting facilities management, operations & maintenance, workplace services, real estate, smart buildings, mission support, and related professional services.
  • Driving capture activities from opportunity identification through contract award.
  • Developing comprehensive capture plans, customer engagement strategies, competitive assessments, and pursuit roadmaps.
  • Building and executing winning strategies that improve probability of win (PWin) across strategic pursuits.
  • Collaborating with executive leadership, business development, delivery organizations, pricing, finance, technical SMEs, and proposal teams to develop differentiated solutions.
  • Supporting customer engagement activities, strategic account planning, industry partnerships, and teaming relationships.
  • Evaluating pipeline opportunities using market intelligence, competitive analysis, customer insights, and federal acquisition trends.
  • Leading solution development activities while ensuring alignment between technical, operational, pricing, and delivery strategies.
  • Supporting recompete efforts through customer intelligence, incumbent assessments, and competitive positioning.
  • Continuously improving capture processes, governance, reporting, and pipeline management without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • Leveraging CRM platforms, pipeline analytics, competitive intelligence, and emerging AI-enabled technologies to strengthen capture effectiveness and pursuit quality.
  • Providing leadership and mentorship to capture professionals while fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Representing the organization with federal customers, industry partners, and executive stakeholders throughout the business development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
  • 15+ years supporting federal business development, capture management, or growth organizations.
  • 5+ years leading capture, growth, or business development teams.
  • Demonstrated success leading captures for large, complex federal pursuits valued at $50M+.
  • Strong understanding of the federal acquisition lifecycle, including full and open competitions, IDIQs, GWACs, BPAs, and recompete strategies.
  • Experience shaping opportunities well before solicitation release through customer engagement and competitive positioning.
  • Proven ability to develop winning capture strategies, solution concepts, teaming approaches, and pricing collaboration.
  • Experience supporting federal agencies through facilities management, operations & maintenance, workplace transformation, real estate services, smart buildings, mission support, or adjacent federal service areas.
  • Strong understanding of CRM platforms, pipeline management, market intelligence, competitive analysis, and win-loss assessments.
  • Experience incorporating AI-enabled tools and data-driven insights into capture and proposal environments while maintaining appropriate governance and compliance.
  • Executive presence with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to thrive within a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment where leaders are expected to build, influence, and execute.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • APMP Certification
  • Active Secret or Top Secret clearance
  • Experience supporting federal civilian and defense agencies
  • Experience improving CRM platforms, capture methodologies, pipeline reporting, or growth operations
  • Background in property management, facilities services, or workplace transformation is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base Salary: $190,000–$215,000
  • Annual performance incentive (target approximately 15%)
