Position Overview

Mission Bridge Partners is seeking a highly qualified Data Analyst to support enterprise data management, metadata governance, and data standardization initiatives for a large Department of Defense (DoD) customer. This role will support the analysis, organization, and governance of enterprise data assets across complex environments, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, traceability, and alignment with established governance standards.

The ideal candidate brings experience supporting enterprise data warehouse environments, metadata management activities, and data governance initiatives within large-scale federal organizations. This position will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and governance personnel to support the integrity and usability of enterprise data assets across multiple systems and domains.

This is a temp-to-perm position. US citizenship required. This role follows a hybrid work schedule, with the primary work location based in Falls Church, VA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support enterprise data inventory and metadata collection efforts through both in-person and virtual collaboration sessions with stakeholders and system owners.
  • Analyze enterprise data warehouse structures, relational databases, and data flows to validate lineage, transformation logic, and data mappings.
  • Develop, maintain, and standardize data element definitions, metadata classifications, reference values, and business context aligned with DHA, DoD, and NIST standards.
  • Maintain and enhance enterprise data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and definition catalogs to ensure consistency across the data ecosystem.
  • Perform metadata quality assessments to validate completeness, accuracy, consistency, and alignment of enterprise data assets.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve metadata gaps, inconsistencies, and governance issues.
  • Support onboarding of metadata and documentation into centralized repositories while ensuring adherence to established taxonomies, naming conventions, and metadata standards.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of governance artifacts including workflows, RACI matrices, data standards, and metadata frameworks.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, reports, inventories, decision logs, and executive briefings for DHA stakeholders and program leadership.
  • Ensure all deliverables are auditable, version controlled and maintained within DHA-approved collaboration and project management environments.
  • Coordinate effectively across distributed teams in both classified and unclassified environments.
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience supporting data analysis, metadata management, data governance, enterprise data warehousing, or analytics initiatives.
  • Experience working with enterprise data warehouse environments, relational data structures, and standardized data models.
  • Strong understanding of metadata standards, data dictionaries, governance frameworks, and data lifecycle management principles.
  • Experience validating data lineage, mappings, transformation logic, and metadata consistency across multiple systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with Government stakeholders and technical teams in both remote and in-person environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience using Jira and other Government-approved collaboration and project management tools.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance; active clearance preferred.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Experience supporting federal healthcare, defense, or enterprise data modernization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with DHA, DoD, or federal data governance standards and frameworks.
  • Experience supporting metadata crosswalks, data cataloging, validation processes, or federated data management environments.
  • Professional certifications such as CDMP, Microsoft PL-300, DA-100, or related analytics/governance credentials.
  • Cloud platform familiarity or certifications in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments and familiarity with Scrum, SAFe, or Agile project methodologies.
